Pricing, without the guesswork

Your idea comes first.
The quote follows.

A website, a customer portal, and an app that runs your business aren’t the same project. Let’s understand what you need, then put together a clear price for building it and keeping it running.

Let’s talk about your idea

No technical brief needed. Start with what would help.

One example. Two different arrangements.

Own the software. Or lease it with us.

Here’s how one project could be priced. These example figures illustrate the difference in payment and ownership—not a standard package or a quote for your project.

Example · Quoted to own

A larger upfront investment.

Example project quote~$5,000

Upfront for an ownership arrangement

  • Software ownership as defined in that agreement
  • Hosting, maintenance, and future changes depend on that provider’s quote
  • Not necessarily the full lifetime cost
Example · Leased through jpss.dev

A lighter start. Ongoing care.

Example project quote$500

Upfront + $14.99/month

  • Managed access to the software through a recurring plan
  • JP’s Software retains software ownership
  • Your business data remains yours

Lower upfront cost. A different ownership model.

Leasing spreads some of the cost into ongoing payments; it isn’t a purchase or a rent-to-own plan. In this example, the upfront fee plus 12 monthly payments would be $679.88, before any applicable taxes or separately quoted costs. Payments continue for ongoing service under your agreement.

Know what you’re saying yes to

A clear scope.
A clear next step.

Different projects need different pricing and subscription tiers. Your proposal brings the pieces together before you commit.

  1. What we’re buildingThe agreed features, deliverables, and project price.
  2. What continues each monthYour service plan, included support, and recurring costs.
  3. What’s separateAdditional work, domains, and any third-party or usage-based charges.

Good questions

Let’s make it clear.

Is there a fixed starting price for a build?

No universal starting price. The project quote depends on the work involved. A price quoted for one customer isn’t a package or a promise for every project.

Does the monthly plan include building the app?

No. The build and the ongoing service are separate parts of your proposal. New features and larger changes are scoped and priced separately unless your agreement explicitly includes them.

Do I own the software?

With our managed-service model, JP’s Software owns and maintains the software. Your business data remains yours, and a domain managed for you should stay in your name. The build fee pays for the agreed work; it is not a transfer of the source code. Your agreement spells out the terms.

What if I don’t know which plan I need?

You don’t need to choose a tier before we talk. Start with your business, your idea, and what would make your day easier. We’ll work out the scope and the right ongoing service together.
